                      Non-Executive Directorate Appointment 
 
BgenuineTec, the Japanese developer of biometrics fingerprint authentication 
technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Gary Shaw as a 
Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.  Gary Shaw will be 
in charge of expanding the Company's overseas activities. 
 
For the last 30 years, Mr Shaw has worked in the electronics industry in both 
Taiwan and the USA and has served as the CEO and Vice President of several 
venture capital backed companies in Silicon Valley in the USA, including 
ForteMedia. Since 1999 Gary Shaw has held a number of senior positions at 
Telewise Communications Inc, a provider of communications related products 
including voice, video, wireless and data services across North America, and 
since 2004 has served as its President and CEO. 
 
Commenting on the appointment, Taketoshi Kashiwabara, Chairman of BgenuineTec 
Inc, said: "I am delighted to welcome Gary to BgenuineTec.  I am confident that 
his wealth of experience and contacts will be invaluable to BgenuineTec in the

On 14 July 2006, BgenuineTec Inc.(AIM; BGTI) was the first Japanese company to 
be admitted to trading on AIM. It offers fingerprint authentication products to 
companies and individuals that wish to establish high levels of security using 
biometrics. 
Biometrics uses a physical attribute of the body, such as a fingerprint to 
identify and verify the individual with the aim of making individual 
authentication efficient and secure.
