By definition; Asset Backed Securities+ RMBS.

Very few understand the Community Reinvestment Act that forced the banks to make loans to unqualified borrowers.

Then to protect themselves, the loaners like WaMu/F&F securitized the loans into trusts (bonds) insured by Derivatives as insurance policies to cover the losses.
Zero exposure to the securities because they are insured.
Derivative insurance losses are 11.9% Documented of the securitization.

The securitizer of the Trusts must hold 15% of the offerings.

Therefore F&F like WaMu holds ABS/RMBS securities as payables back to the company.

You're welcome Vancmike. Even Ackman mentioned 5% that I call the Old People Expected Rate of Return. I just feel that the OPERR is going to drive the ultimate price as these were considered safe dividend stocks pre conservatorship and will be again. And we already have a long track record of what the companies make per year. So the price comes down to warrant and/or senior exercise. That's really the only variable.

Just for your reference, I started using $0.50 per Quarter (a starting point) on dividends for FnF (ie $2/annually) in my calculations.
Again there's lots of variables to be finalized and when dividends actually get started etc. GLTA

You've use this term alot in your arguments over the years as if it only applies to those who are long on this stock.

You shorted this stock god knows how many times in the past 5-8 years we've all lost count here. Would you agree then you were also being 'greedy' or were you planning to give your profits away to some charity? Look we all realize you're hurting right now and mostly likely real bad but that was your ill informed choice, guess, luck whatever you want to call it.

The point being whether you short or long any stock you do it for one reason only-to make money. Whether it's for your own security or for those of us that have families, for their well being too.

So please in future think about who you label as a "greedy investor" and stop being so hypocritical.

News  cycle is over for Fannie . Came up a day late a dollar short as usually. Expect GSE conservativeship status to last many more years as ALL profits will be needed by USG for taxpayer interests not greedy investor ski vacation including all expenses. 
Hopeful investor will have better luck going outside, laying on back , make snow angel and pray PPS can hold above $5 .
