Samoth Announces Appointment to Board of Director

Samoth Oilfield Inc. ("Samoth") (TSX VENTURE:SCD) has announced today that Mr.
F.V. Ramsoondar has been appointed to the Board of Directors, subject to
regulatory approval.


Mr. Ramsoondar received a B. Comm degree from the University of South Africa in
1994 and therefore has a solid background in the knowledge of International
Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS"s) which will be adopted in Canada in 2011.
He is a Certified Accountant, with several complementary qualifications in the
technical field including being a Microsoft Certified Solutions Provider and a
Certified Network Security Provider.
