USANA's Hepasil DTX™ Liver Health Supplement is Now Patent Pending

(NYSE: USNA), a global nutritional supplement company, today announced that it has filed two new U.S. patents on its popular liver health supplement, Hepasil DTX™. A science-based company, USANA currently holds patents for Olivol® olive extract, a unique extract that contains antioxidant polyphenols derived exclusively from olives, and its proprietary liquid crystal technology, which is used in USANA's line of self-preserving Sense skincare products.

Currently, USANA is one of the first companies to manufacture supplements as bi-layer tablets, also known as Nutritional Hybrid Technology. The new patent pending technology covers both the formulation and method of use for Hepasil.
