VALLEY FORGE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UGI Corporation (NYSE:UGI - News) today announced earnings guidance for fiscal years 2009 and 2010. UGI expects to report earnings for its fiscal year ended September 30, 2009 of approximately $2.35 per diluted share, or approximately 18% over fiscal year 2008.

Greenberg, chairman and chief executive officer of UGI, said, “As previously reported, earnings in fiscal 2009 significantly benefited from higher unit margins in our propane businesses resulting from a rapid decline in wholesale propane costs. This benefit was offset somewhat by the effects on our businesses of recessionary market conditions, which adversely affected volumes in all of our business units, and reduced unit margins in our electricity generation and distribution businesses.”
