A $1 million construction line of credit from AmSouth Bank (NYSE: ASO) will be used to build up to 71 new affordable homes in the Bayside Park Subdivision, an area hit hard by Hurricane Katrina last year. The homes, being built by developer Double A Homes Builders, LLC, represent one of the first new subdivisions to be built in the Bay St. Louis community since the hurricane last August. "Low to moderate income families who may have been displaced by Hurricane Katrina will have the opportunity to move back into their neighborhood, into one of these wonderful new homes," said AmSouth Regional Community Development Manager Kevin Williams. "I'm glad AmSouth was able to make this loan, and help re-build the Gulf Coast." An official announcement will take place at the subdivision site on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 1:00 p.m. The location of the site is 6218 West Hinds Street in Bay St. Louis.
