AmSouth Receives National Excellence Award for Customer Satisfaction in Business Banking; Greenwich Associates names AmSouth one

Greenwich Associates, a financial services research and consulting
group, has awarded AmSouth Bank's (NYSE: ASO) Business Banking
division the National Excellence Award for Customer Satisfaction in
the Overall Banking Services category. "We're very proud of the job
our Business Bankers are doing. They work hard to build lasting
relationships with their customers, and offer them the best
products and services to meet their needs," AmSouth Business
Banking Executive Vice President Bill Horton said after receiving
the news. Greenwich interviewed more than 22,000 business customers
(with annual sales of $1 to 10 million across 66 markets) about
their business banking relationship. Out of 650 eligible banks,
AmSouth was chosen, along with 40 other banks across the nation, to
receive an award. Other categories for awards included Branch
Services, Business Bankers, Call Centers, Cash Management Services,
and Online Services. "Relationships with customers ... that's what
it's all about. To receive a national honor like this means that
