Artio Global Investors Inc. (Investors) is an asset management company. Investors provide investment management services to institutional and mutual fund clients. The Company also offers a range of other investment strategies, including High Grade Fixed Income, High Yield, Global Equity and the United States Equity strategies. Its investment strategies are grouped into five asset classes: International Equity; Global Equity; the United States Equity; High Grade Fixed Income; and High Yield. The Company’s primary business objective is to consistently generate investment returns for its clients. As of December 31, 2010, its International Equity strategies represented 79% of its assets under management (AuM). Investors operations and clients are based principally in the United States; however a portion of its AuM is invested outside of the United States. As of December 31, 2010, 76% of its AuM was in currencies other than the United States dollar.
