DELL Dell Inc. (MM)

Talks between Michael Dell, Dell Inc.'s (DELL) special board committee and Silver Lake Partners are continuing, and are focusing on a higher buyout offer in exchange for a change in voting rules, CNBC's David Faber reported Thursday.

Mr. Faber said sources told him the situation is "fluid, tenuous if you will, but they do say progress is being made." He said the amount of a potential higher bid is unclear.
