TANJONG PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY ("Tanjong" or "Company")

-  Notification pursuant to paragraph 14.09 (a) of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange ("KLSE")
   Listing Requirements of Dealings During Open Period

We wish to announce that the Company has been notified of the following dealings by Principal
Officers of the Company pursuant to Paragraph 14.09 (a) of the KLSE Listing Requirements :-

1.   Notification on 13 October 2003 by Uma Maniam Muthusamy :-

a)   (i)    That he has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 12,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.003% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 9 October 2003;
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM10.40 per share of 7.5 pence

2.   Notification on 11 October 2003 by Selvam N @ Gerard a/l T N Nathan :-

  a) (i)    That he has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 20,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.005% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 10 October 2003;
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM10.90 per share of 7.5 pence

3.   Notification on 13 October 2003 by Yau Li Chong :-

  a) (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 3,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.001% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 7 October 2003;
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM9.80 per share of 7.5 pence

  b) (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 3,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.001% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 8 October 2003;
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM10.00 per share of 7.5 pence

  c) (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 3,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.001% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 9 October 2003;
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM10.30 per share of 7.5 pence

  d) (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 5,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.001% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 9 October 2003;
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM10.40 per share of 7.5 pence

  e) (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 3,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.001% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 10 October 2003;
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM10.50 per share of 7.5 pence

  f) (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 3,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.001% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 10 October 2003;
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM10.70 per share of 7.5 pence

  g) (i)    That she has disposed in the open market of the KLSE, 3,000 shares of 7.5 pence each in
            Tanjong representing 0.001% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at the date of the
            transaction;
     (ii)   Date of transaction - 10 October 2003;
     (iii)  Transaction price - RM11.00 per share of 7.5 pence
