DCP Midstream Names Thomas C. O'Connor President and Chief Executive Officer

DENVER, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- DCP Midstream, LLC today announced
the appointment of Thomas C. O'Connor as chairman, president and
chief executive officer of the company, effective November 15,
2007. Tom O'Connor is currently group executive and president of
commercial businesses for Duke Energy. O'Connor replaces Bill
Easter who earlier this week announced his intent to retire
effective January 1, 2008. Easter will work with O'Connor during
the transition period. "I'm pleased to be returning to the natural
gas business and to lead DCP Midstream, a company for which I have

said Easter. O'Connor's career includes more than 23 years in the
natural gas industry and he has extensive experience in the
midstream energy sector having formerly served as president and
chief executive officer of Duke Energy's former natural gas
business now known as Spectra Energy Transmission. In January 2007,
Duke Energy spun off its natural gas business including its 50
percent interest in DCP Midstream to form a new public traded
company, Spectra Energy. DCP Midstream, LLC, headquartered in
Denver, Colorado, leads the midstream segment as one of the
nation's largest natural gas gatherers and processors, and one of
the largest natural gas liquids producers and marketers in the U.S.
DCP Midstream operates in 16 States across seven producing regions.
