Ramco Energy plc announces that it has been notified today of the exercise of
share options by one of its Directors, Mr N Stewart Cumming.


Mr Cumming has exercised options on 27,000 10p ordinary shares at 125p per
share. As a result, the issued share capital of the Company has increased from
26,202,713 to 26,229,713.


The new shares will be admitted to trading on AIM from 24 April 2003.


Following the exercise of these options, Mr Cumming has a total holding of
327,000 10p ordinary shares, representing 1.25% of the total issued class.
