TDG enters alliances for Germany and France
TDG today announces alliance agreements for both the German and French markets.
This is consistent with the Group's strategy of establishing alliances to
provide operational capability to serve our customers in countries where it is
difficult to achieve profitable scale.
Alliance agreement with TTS Global Logistics for Germany
In order to extend our reach to the German marketplace, we have concluded an
alliance agreement with TTS Global Logistics ("TTS").
Privately owned, TTS is a major logistics operator in Germany, with revenues of
circa Euro200m, blue-chip customers in both the consumer goods and chemicals
sectors and warehousing capacity of circa 400,000 sq.m. With a network of 29
owned warehouses, in addition to relationships with partners and agencies, TTS
offers extensive coverage throughout Germany and access to important central
European markets.
TTS's presence in these territories is highly complementary to TDG's operations
in the UK, Ireland and The Netherlands, and provides for the mutually
beneficial development of opportunities with existing and target customers of
both parties.
Alliance agreement with Magasins Generaux de France SA for France
In order to continue to be able to offer our customers the capability of
operating with TDG in France, we have established an alliance with Magasins
Generaux de France SA ("MGF Logistique") to be our partner for the French
market.
MGF Logistique is a well-established domestic logistics company in France and
is part of the privately owned G7 group of companies. MGF Logistique's
warehousing capacity is circa 300,000 sq.m, enabling them to provide nationwide
coverage. Their geographic focus complements TDG's and provides a strong growth
platform for the customers of both companies.
