U.S. warfighter FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA
International, Inc. (NYSE:SRX), a leading provider of technology
and strategic consulting services and solutions to government
organizations and commercial clients, today announced it has won an
indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract from the
Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) Defense Logistics Information
Research Program (DLIR) to provide sourcing and development of
logistics data interoperability and availability. The IDIQ contract
has a ceiling value of $12 million over five years, if all options
are exercised. DLIR is the Research and Development (R&D) arm
of the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS), a
command-level service activity of the DLA providing ready access to
quality logistics data. SRA will participate on the R&D
Technologies Solutions Council, helping to identify existing and
potential technologies that could benefit DLIS systems and business
processes. SRA will leverage its extensive experience in supply
chain technologies and optimization to assist DLIS through core
business process improvements and technology insertion. The IDIQ
technical area of interest addresses a critical aspect of the DLIS
mission by focusing on efficiently capturing and distributing
logistics data within an item's total lifecycle, providing better
visibility of systems and individual parts, and providing a
framework for parts standardization principals and associated
performance-based logistics. "As a professional services provider,
SRA has deep domain experience with technologies related
specifically to performance-based logistics and total lifecycle
management," said SRA Vice President of Enterprise Logistics
Services George Batsakis. "The SRA team understands DLA's
functional requirements and we look forward to helping DLIS
establish and maintain a technology roadmap for the future." About
