    ("NWBT" or the "Company")

    Director/PDMR Shareholding



    Northwest Biotherapeutics, Inc. (AIM: NWBS and NWBT; OTC BB: NWBO.US), announced that, on July 16, 2008, Toucan Partners LLC advised the
Company that, on July 15, 2008, it had distributed 2,572,710 shares of Northwest's common stock to Linda F. Powers, Chairperson of
Northwest's Board of Directors.  Ms. Powers is a managing member and fifty percent owner of Toucan Partners, LLC.

    As a result of this transfer, Ms. Powers now directly owns 2,572,710 shares representing 6.05%, and as managing member of Toucan
Partners LLC and Toucan Capital Fund II, LP has an additional indirect interest in 45.42% of, Northwest's issued and outstanding stock.

    After this transfer Toucan Partners, LLC owns no shares of NWBT but has a continuing interest in warrants to purchase 8,832,541 shares
of the Company's common stock.
