PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

Computacenter plc announces that on 9 October 2002, it purchased for
cancellation 380,000 ordinary shares of Computacenter plc, representing 0.21% of
Computacenter's issued share capital, at a price of 220p per ordinary share.
Upon the cancellation of these shares, the number of Computacenter shares in
issue will be 184,711,935.
