BRITISH SMALLER TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES VCT PLC ("the Company")

DISPOSAL OF SHARES IN AMINO TECHNOLOGIES PLC

The Company announces today that it has sold its remaining shares in Amino
Technologies plc for a profit of #496,000 against original cost.

Together with the small disposal in October, this final disposal equates to an
increase in the Net Asset Value as at 30 September 2004 of 1.50 pence per share.

In total, including the previous disposals, the profit against the original cost
for the Company's investment in Amino Technologies plc amounts to #826,000.
