Finally got a response from Ben today on the mulberry language, sterilization, etc (assume this was from Jon or someone):

"Our team is following the state of the art in facility sterilization, we’ve not had any issues at all with our facilities and production batches. We’ve not had any major issues with sourcing mulberry. During the winter it is common for the farmers to cut down their fields so they can regrow (the fresh young leaf provides the best nutrition for the silkworm). We manage how much egg we put out each batch based on the amount of mulberry we will need and local availability. When necessary we purchase and ship in additional leaf."

You're not getting any updates because they probably shut down production for seasonal reasons.  Same reason they waited until spring to do the original trials.  This makes sense to me if Prodiigy is the only site they are doing production at.  Evidently they can't  produce decent mulberry this time of year there.  I don't know why they just can't tell their investors that.  I don't expect to hear anything for another couple months about production unless they can get something started up in Lam Dong.

Yea the big weekly PR blitz that was hinted at years ago. That going to be the precursor to the mass production announcement that was going to skyrocket the stock into the dollars range. Well, I guess it did skyrocket us all the way to 9 cents. Until today anyways. The Caddis fly silk was his main goal for 15 plus years so he obviously has been failing at it for all those years. Now he's supposedly succeeded. All PR's about success in the lab over the last couple years have always ended with something claiming that commercialization was still the top priority. Nothing like that in this last one. Has he shifted away from mass producing Dragon Silk like he has U.S. production of pure spider silk?

The reason is we’ve SEEN the mulberry trees and how much they grew around Prodigy. From literally dirt:

Kraig KNOWS the importance of using fresh mulberry leaves. And we know they have taken this very seriously in recent years and planned to work on certifying Vietnam mulberry leaf farmers and build up their own fresh mulberry leaf supply. Whether it was pesticides or a microorganism before, KBLB had NO mulberry leaf issues at all during BAM-1 production cycles 1-4 last year from what we know.

So I was a little surprised to see that reference, especially because sericulture and mulberry leaf harvesting appear to both occur year round in Vietnam, although, generally, harvesting of mulberry leaves appears to be best during late Spring through early Fall from what I can gather. But that does not mean mulberry leaf harvesting doesn’t occur year round in Vietnam. What are we missing?

Arachnodude, in all sincerity I think you should sell all of your shares of KBLB.  You have struggled mightily to promote this stock, telling us time and again that success is at hand, only to have your assumptions and predictions be undermined time and time again.  It's embarrassing, but we've all made a few mistakes along the way.  What sets you apart is the fact that you make mistakes all the time.

So, you are correct!  China could steal parental line eggs and replicate KBLB's technology.

Biotech firms file AND RECEIVE patents for their inventions.  Hundreds or thousands of patents.  Their drugs are protected by patents.  That's why, when a patent runs out, other companies can produce the same drug and can sell the drug for a lot less.  It's called a "generic" drug.

I don't know what 'genetic framework' you are thinking about needed to support the growth of KBLB's silkworms.  Did your mommy or daddy explain to you about the "birds and the bees?"  Parent line males and parent line females are interbred to produce more of the parental line eggs.  Parental line males from one strain and females from the other are crossbred to produce Bam-1 hybrids.  This technology has been exploited since Mendel.

Seriously, you might want to read about "sexual reproduction."  It happens in lots of animals and insects.  Birds do it.  Bees do it.  Silkworms do it.  All silkworms need is a dark cup and a quality sheet of paper to do their thing and produce eggs.  Ask Mommy or Daddy to help you understand.

I've been an investor for the pasted 16 years since Joe noel ( if some one remembers ) posted a target price 0.44PPS i think it was. LOLI think any other CEO could have taken this company elsewhere, could have Pr'ed things much better .

I, for one, am fed-up getting news about new silk lines. KT show us the money, what happend to all those step you took over the years to inhanse investors value?!?
