Valentine Announces Extension of Time to Complete Its Qualifying Transaction to October 9, 2009

NOT INTENDED FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES

Valentine Ventures Corp. (TSX VENTURE:VVN.P) (the "Company" or "Valentine") is
pleased to announce that the TSX Venture Exchange has granted an extension to
October 9, 2009 for the Company to receive final Exchange approval for a
qualifying transaction.


The Exchange has issued bulletins on November 3, 2008 and March 6, 2009
describing Temporary Relief Measures due to the current difficult market
environment faced by many listed issuers. Valentine has found that the difficult
markets seem to have affected several of the proposed transactions it has
reviewed. The extension will allow Valentine to continue its efforts to find a
suitable opportunity for its qualifying transaction.
