Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd (TSX VENTURE:STG) ("Sustainable Energy" or
the "Company") announced today that ISTEM S.A. ("ISTEM") will use the
PARALEX(TM) operating system to power a demonstration of rooftop solar PV on
schools, community centers and fire stations in Seville Spain. ISTEM is a
subsidiary of Copcisa Industrial SLU based in Barcelona Spain. (See News Release
dated May 27, 2008).

Commissioned by the City Hall of Seville, the "Photovoltaics Roof Project" will
install 15 kW rooftop solar power systems on 10 municipal buildings throughout
the city. The projects, which are being installed by ISTEM, are scheduled for
grid connection in Q1, 2010.

The inherent safety of low solar PV system operating voltages was an important
consideration in the selection of the PARALEX(TM) operating system architecture.

"Low Voltage PV systems are safer and more reliable. Municipal buildings like
the ones we are supplying in Seville, which include schools, fire halls, social
centers and other publicly owned and operated structures require a special level
of safety," said Carlos Alba, Director of Copcisa Industrial and CEO of ISTEM.
"The PARALEX(TM) system will be operating at less than 135 volts, which means it
is safe: safe for children, safe for those who work in these buildings, and, god
forbid, safe for firemen should an emergency situation occur."

"We believe that the public segment of the Spanish PV market will be a strong
one going forward and we are very happy to be able offer this differentiated and
safe solution to the market," Alba added.

Conventional solar PV system architectures require high system operating
voltages in order to achieve high conversion efficiencies. With high operating
voltages (300v - 600v), there is a risk of serious injury in the case of
accidental encounters with a live system. The PARALEX(TM) operating system
enables household level extra low operating voltages to eliminate this risk
without sacrificing conversion efficiencies. It is ideal for all applications
where public safety is a concern - schools, public buildings, shopping centers,
recreational areas etc.

"Seville's Photovoltaics Roof Project demonstrates a growing demand for solar
power to meet public energy requirements. Sustainable Energy's PARALEX(TM)
operating system meets this demand and is the perfect fit for municipal projects
since it has an inherently safe, low voltage design that addresses concerns of
public safety and liability critical for public buildings," said Robert Bucher,
President & CEO of Sustainable Energy. "We are pleased to be working with ISTEM
to help the city of Seville become a leader in sustainable energy."

PARALEX is a solar power system architecture enabling solar modules to be wired
in a parallel array. Using Sustainable Energy's patented inverter technology,
the PARALEX(TM) architecture enables each solar module to operate independently
of any other module in the system delivering 5-15% increased energy yield,
without the expensive hardware and continuing maintenance cost of micro-inverter
products. Every module delivers its maximum power potential while eliminating
the string inverter impact of shading, soiling and other real world factors.

About ISTEM: ISTEM S.A. is the solar PV systems arm of Copcisa Industrial SLU
the division of Copcisa Corp. (www.copcisacorp.com) focusing on construction,
public-private partnerships, private finance initiatives and engineering
services. Copcisa Corp is a private corporation headquartered in Barcelona,
Spain.

About Sustainable Energy: Sustainable Energy (www.sustainableenergy.com)
designs, manufactures and distributes power inverters for grid-connected solar
PV systems. Advanced power inverters are a critical enabler of all modern solar
PV power systems converting the direct current ("DC") power output of the solar
PV modules into the high quality alternating current ("AC") power required by
the power grid. Advanced power inverters also optimize the performance of the
solar PV modules and maintain the integrity and safety of the interconnection
with the power grid.

In rooftop applications, the extra low operating voltage of the SUNERGY platform
enables a system architecture that is inherently safe and that can be installed
and maintained by most building trades without the need for PV specialists,
significantly reducing the installed system cost and increasing investor yields.

In ground-based applications, multiple SUNERGY inverters offer higher system
yield, less downtime and easier installation and maintenance, than larger
"central" inverters. For these reasons, multiple smaller inverters like SUNERGY
are increasingly displacing central inverters in European ground based
applications - where system performance rather than name plate capacity is the
driver.

Sustainable Energy's technologies are the subject of multiple patents issued by
and pending with the US Patent and Canadian Patent Offices.
