Hebdos Regionaux Quebecor Media proudly launch their brand new web sites. Visitors are invited to discover 9 new regional portals, each containing sites dedicated to various local publications. Readers can enjoy a total of 57 new sites featuring an enhanced browsing experience; and advertisers can benefit from new must-have business opportunities.

Enhanced and enriched browsing experience

The new Hebdos Regionaux Quebecor Media's web sites were developed in partnership with Nurun, a subsidiary of Quebecor Media, and are designed to meet readers' needs even more effectively. They feature a more dynamic, practical, and interactive interface, providing visitors with a more pleasant browsing experience. Content has been enriched with more regularly updated local and regional news. Articles and reports feature more photos and videos. And innovative graphic design features facilitate browsing from one section to another.

More inclusive

These new web sites, designed to bring readers closer to their community, aim to become true hubs of discussion and opinion. Readers are invited to contribute directly to content, share views with our specialists, interact with our columnists, comment on our reports, react on social media, and even share their scoops using the "MON TOPO" feature.

Optimal display at all times

The new sites can be adapted to all screen formats (desktop, tablets, mobile phones), providing optimal display and greater mobility. Users can visit the sites at all times from wherever they may be.

New business opportunities for our advertisers

These innovations result in new business opportunities for our advertisers, since these web sites provide a perfect complement to our regional weeklies' print editions. Advertisers can sponsor various sections and content areas and deploy their brand on the site of their choice. These new advertising opportunities allow advertisers to reach a larger customer base and, above all, benefit from local and regional targeting opportunities, depending on the sites and portals they choose.

"We are extremely proud to unveil these innovative platforms, which allow us to provide our partners with new and more effective ways of reaching their customer base in a more targeted manner than ever before. This new web offer, featuring rich content and improved functionalities, will quickly become a must-have for all readers who care about local and regional news. Readers are well-served with a choice of platforms, including the regional weeklies' new sites and their print editions. With these innovations, Quebecor Media has once again demonstrated its commitment to regional news," comments Lyne Robitaille, Executive Vice-President, Quebec, for Sun Media.

A step forward as part of a major project

In partnership with Nurun, Sun Media Corporation has redesigned several web sites across Canada, including those of Le Journal de Montreal and Le Journal de Quebec, the Toronto Sun, Ottawa Sun, Calgary Sun, Edmonton Sun, Winnipeg Sun and many English-language community newspapers. "The brand new Hebdos Regionaux Quebecor Media's web sites in Quebec are part of a Canada-wide web redesign process for Sun Media sites using leading-edge technology. These new web sites are designed to reach millions of users every week who report, comment on, and share information," states Jacques-Herve Roubert, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nurun.

Take part in the Lucian Bute in Nottingham contest

To celebrate the launch of their new web sites, Hebdos Regionaux Quebecor Media are offering a chance to win one of five VIP packages, including a trip to England for two people and tickets to attend Lucian Bute's fight in Nottingham on May 26.
