SEI Earns $2.3 Million Award for Canadian MSTAR Logistics Support
ST. LOUIS, July 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Engineered Support
Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:EASI) subsidiary Systems & Electronics
Inc. (SEI) was recently awarded a contract from General Dynamics
Land Systems - Canada (GDLS-C) to provide logistics support for
Canadian Manportable Surveillance and Target Acquisition Radar
(MSTAR) systems. The value of the contract is $2.3 million (USD),
with two 1-year options exceeding $1 million each. Canada operates
more than 200 MSTARs, many deployed on the Coyote reconnaissance
vehicle. Canada has been an SEI MSTAR customer for more than 10
years, according to Gerald A. Potthoff, Engineered Support Vice
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We are delighted for the
opportunity to support the expanded presence and use of our MSTAR
systems in both domestic and international security environments.
More than 850 MSTAR radars, in various configurations, are in
service throughout the world," Potthoff said. "We also appreciate

heightened security concerns that challenge the international
community." MSTAR systems are in service with U.S. and allied
forces in Afghanistan, Iraq, the Balkans and other areas where a
long-range, wide-area, highly- reliable ground sensor is needed to

the U.S. Army, U.S. Army National Guard, U.S. Air Force and various
foreign military customers. MSTAR can also meet various homeland
defense and security missions where intrusion detection, border
surveillance and perimeter security are needed; providing critical

a low power, very low probability of intercept (LPI) ground
