I see that Billy Lie was running his mouth at the big show in China the other day. He doubled down, on record, stating that break even will happen in 2025. Should we believe him?

Months ago...we were not going to focus on a build out in Europe even though we had firefuk in the works. Now we are told that the build out in Europe isn't going as smoothly as planned.

Ya know.. there are a ton of gaps to fill on the way back up....if Billy Lie could get his shit straight. Let's face it, Firefly will occupy a niche in the Chinese market...and that's about all. I doubt it will outsell the L60.

Q2 earnings will be the benchmark deciding factor for sorry or not.
A lot can happen between now and September.

Q1 earnings in June without substantial sales or company announcements the shorts will bring NIO down again.

I'm so sorry I bought this company. There is absolutely no chance for profitability with William Lie in charge.

Bloomberg is reporting June isn’t the first half of the year. The shorting syndicate runs deep into Wall Street.

They should have reported Late Q2 and early Q3. But that would be too honest and not promote their agenda.

Li’s body language in the Firefly Q&A is that of a failed defeated human being. He is getting an ass whipping by the competition and major shareholders. The Firefly was to make its debut in Europe. Not in a NIO store in China. NIO is in a deep financial hole and Li is a broken man. Which may not be a bad thing for investors when it comes to Li. At least with reality setting his idealistic ego is now in check. Unfortunately it may be too late. Counting on CBU to turn NIO around is a desperate move.

Sales need to be spectacular in Q's 3 and 4 just to meet guidance....let alone profitability. Maybe the rush sales of Fukfly and L90 may help....along with refreshed models coming out soon. ET9 may help too if Billy Lie doesnt give all the margin away to make guidence delivery numbers. If it looks like we fall short of guidance, look for W. Lie to give away the store and sell the fixtures like he did this past December.

Dick Li has to pull a miracle out his A$$ to reach profitability by Q4.
NIO still being a viable business by Q4 is the real challenge.

Who will blink first?

To date, EVOGO (CATL) has built a small number of battery swap stations in a few Chinese cities, primarily as a trial basis.
CATL has cash. But… needs to build thousands of battery swap stations to meet the needs of their EV manufacturers battery swap partners. Evidently CATL does not possess commercially viable battery swap station technology. Otherwise CATL would have several hundred EVOGO battery swap stations ready for operation.

NIO needs cash. But… NIO is ahead of the battery swap technology by several years with over 3200 operating battery swap stations. NIO now has government partners financing the construction of battery swap stations to be used for NIO’s EVs and several EV manufacturer partners in the pipeline.

Is NIO entering the “No money to execute fizzle out stage”? Has Dick Li taken NIO to the point of no return?
Hopefully NIO will generate revenue from sources other than EV sales. If not… NIO to Zero in less than 360 days.

The CATL takeover of NIO Power in all likelihood wasn’t a rumor. It most likely was a failed agreement.
The NIO/CATL Battery Swap cooperative has been going on for years. Nothing has ever materialized other than PR announcements.

The investment can range from $0.00 to… meaning Zero investment is possible.
Additionally, the two will also pursue capital cooperation, with CATL moving forward with an investment of up to RMB2.5 billion into Nio Power, Nio’s battery swapping business.

NIO ran out of the long term plan execution money to sell the Firefly in Europe. Now they are stuck with selling a premium small car in China where historically, there has never been a market for premium small cars.
