Introduction

Portman Building Society (the Society) published its Annual Report on 27 March
2006 and accordingly is submitting its Annual Information Update (AIU) to the UK
Listing Authority as required under Part 11 of the Prospectus (Directive 2003/71
/EC) Regulations 2005 (S.I No 324 of 2005) and in accordance with paragraph 5.2
of the Prospectus Rules.  The Society is publishing the AIU via an RIS today.

Chronological list of Announcements and Filings

The following information is a list of all announcements and filings of a
regulatory nature which have been published or made available to the public over
the previous 12 months in compliance with laws and rules dealing with the
regulation of securities, issuers of securities and securities markets.  A full
