                           Shareholder notification


London Asia Capital PLC (LDC.L), the Asian focused investment group, was
notified on 9 November that funds associated with QVT Financial LP ("QVT") have
acquired additional ordinary 5p shares ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company,
taking their stake to 17,183,334 Ordinary Shares in the Company, equal to 5.25%
of the issued ordinary share capital.


Jack Wigglesworth, Chairman of London Asia, commented: "We are delighted by the
confidence shown in us by QVT, which is also a significant shareholder in AIM
listed (code LCP) London Asia Chinese Private Equity Fund, to which we act as
adviser."
