Inveresk Plc is pleased to announce that in respect of its Carrongrove Mill
based in Denny, Stirlingshire, Scotland:-

 1. The mill has closed as planned on 9th November 2005 with the transfer of the
    Gemini production to Tullis Russell Markinch, Glenrothes.


 2. Of the 144 employees 141 have been made redundant of whom 123 or 87.2% have
    secured new jobs, temporary jobs or become self employed. The company has
    worked closely with its Outplacement consultants and Falkirk Council to
    achieve this positive outcome. Mill decommissioning and the sale of
    equipment is now underway.


 3. The proceeds of sale and service revenue of #13M has been received in full
    and applied to the reduction of bank debt.


 4. The company is now holding discussions through advisors with Falkirk Council
    as to the future alternative uses for the 38.5 acre site.
