               INCO LIMITED ANNOUNCES PARTICIPATION IN TWO EVENTS
                WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE INVESTMENT COMMUNITY
                     OVER THE DECEMBER 13 - 14, 2004 PERIOD


Toronto, December 7, 2004 -- Inco Limited ("Inco") announced today that it will
be making presentations to representatives of the investment community over the
December 13 - 14, 2004 period and that copies of the slides to be used and texts
of the remarks to be delivered at these presentations will be posted on its
website.


Peter C. Jones, Inco's President and Chief Operating Officer, and Peter Goudie,
Inco's Executive Vice President, Marketing, will be making presentations to the
Mining Research Analysts Group in Toronto on December 13, 2004. The
presentations are expected to begin at 12:30 p.m. (Toronto time) that day.
Copies of the texts of Mr. Jones' and Mr. Goudie's remarks, as well as the
slides they will be utilizing for the presentations, should be available for
on-line viewing and/or printing by the beginning the presentations through the "
Latest Presentations" link on Inco's website, www.inco.com. These presentations
will not be webcast.


Scott M. Hand, Inco's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will be making a
presentation on Inco's plans and strategies at the Desjardins Securities'
Materials Conference scheduled to be held in Montreal over the December 13 - 14,
2004 period. Mr. Hand is expected to speak beginning at 9:20 a.m. (Toronto time)
on December 14, 2004. Copies of the slides and text Mr. Hand will be utilizing
for this presentation to be made at this conference should be available for
on-line viewing and/or printing by the beginning of the presentation through the
"Latest Presentations" link on Inco's website, www.inco.com.
