              INCO LIMITED ANNOUNCES WEBCAST OF CONFERENCE CALL ON

              SECOND QUARTER 2004 FINANCIAL AND OPERATING RESULTS


Toronto, July 6, 2004 --- Inco Limited ("Inco") announced today that it will
webcast, on a live, listen only basis, its conference call covering its second
quarter 2004 financial and operating results. This webcast will be through a
separate third party webcasting service, Canada NewsWire Ltd., and is expected
to begin at 3:00 p.m. (Toronto time) on Tuesday, July 20, 2004.

Any person having a computer and Internet access who is interested in listening
to the conference call can access this webcast by visiting Canada NewsWire's
website, www.newswire.ca/webcast. Interested persons are encouraged to test
their computer system at least five minutes prior to the 3:00 p.m. (Toronto
time) scheduled start for the call on July 20. Computer systems and Internet
connections must meet certain minimum requirements in order for persons to be
