CRESTON LAND & ESTATES PLC ("CRESTON")

DEALINGS BY DIRECTORS AND SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDERS

Creston has been notified, today, of the following dealings in its ordinary
shares of 1p by directors of the Company and related parties.

On 28th April 1998 London Finance & Investment Group PLC, a company associated
with Mr D C Marshall, a non-executive director, purchased 668,066 ordinary
shares at 9p per share.  This acquisition, which represents 0.729 per cent of
the issued share capital, increased the shareholding to 2,000,000 ordinary
shares, which represents 2.182 per cent of Creston's issued share capital.

On the same day, Western Selection PLC, another company associated with Mr D C
Marshall which is also a substantial shareholder in Creston purchased 1,069,570
ordinary shares of Creston at 9p per share.  This acquisition represents 1.167
per cent of Creston's share capital.  It increased Western Selection's holding
to 9,000,000 ordinary shares representing 9.823 per cent of Creston's issued
share capital.

On 28th April 1998 Mr T P King, Creston's Managing Director, sold a total of
1,737,636 ordinary shares of Creston (representing 1.89 per cent of the issued
share capital) at 9p per share.  This sale reduced his shareholding from
27,509,001 ordinary shares to 25,771,365 ordinary shares, representing 28.12 per
cent of the issued share capital of Creston.
