I'm hitting the main points below, watch the whole thing for many more details. My take is that this will probably pay off in the long run, but you're looking at no real revenue for several more years. As a current shareholder I'm willing to keep holding (since I'm underwater anyway) but not willing to add, particularly with cash raise dilution coming soon.

I feel like they have a strong team, good concept, etc. and can be successful, but the perpetual waiting is pretty tough unless you have the patience of Job. They are emphasizing working to raise the share price in the near term but not sure this is achievable. We'll see.

Highlights:
. Johnson Camp mining and ore stockpiling already underway. JC will produce 99.99% pure copper cathode by mid-2025
. JC will produce 12k tons of finished copper/year, could be 100 mil revenue/yr. Will be publishing a Life of Mine Plan first half of this year. All free cash goes to Nuton until they are paid back. Sounds like this will take several years to achieve.
. US Gov gave 13.9 million dollar tax credit grant related to JC mine, fully transferable and can be monetized through sale to a third party. Can be used to more quickly achieve payback on Nuton's investment or for other purposes

. 10 other known deposits within 8km. Gunnison, JC and Strong and Harris combined have over 1 billion tons of copper resource
. Strong and Harris satellite deposit expected to add significant value to the overall project. Single ownership of entire Cochise mining district.
. Path to permit amendments to open pit Gunnison is streamlined. Rail link will reduce input costs, facilitate the sale of gravel and limestone overburden. Mining will be significantly cheaper than mining nearby hard rock deposits.
. Planning to add optical ore sorting tech which results in a huge cost savings. In the testing phase.
. Timeline for Gunnison has first production end of 2030
. Gunnison open pit project will require relocation of part of Interstate 10. Twyerwold spoke optimistically about this as not being an obstacle.
. In-situ discussed as a "backup" plan but my take is it's permanently dead.

. Twyerwold; Our job is to remedy the disconnect between project value and company/share value over the next 6-12 months
. Need to raise 5-6 million over the next few months to fund future activity
. Gravel and limestone opportunity can add millions in value
. Mining plan and first production can be share price catylists this year
. PFS work and permit amendments will be done 2nd half 2025. May look for a J/V partner for Gunnison after that.

Amazing that the company has very good news a week back and today there is close to 450,000 shares on the offer. These penny stocks are hard to make money in unless you get lucky.

See Gunnison (or good old Excelsior) eligible for almost $ 14 mio from DOE on tax benefits ( cash or reduction tax liability)! Endorsement from US government is a great act of confidence in the future of the project;

Gunnison Copper Corp. (TSX: GCU) (OTCQB: GCUMF) (FSE: 3XS) ("Gunnison" or the “Company”) is pleased to provide a construction update for the fully permitted Johnson Camp Mine ("JCM"), in southeast Arizona, with first copper production anticipated mid 2025.

Further to the construction update from the press release dated August 8th, 2024, where it was announced construction of the new leach pad, including crushing of the over-liner material, had commenced the Company is pleased to report that the mining fleet has been mobilized, and mining activities such as pre-stripping have begun.

I think it's a smart move to give up ISR. They could be fiddling around with it for another decade and get nowhere. The copper is there, go get it. The JC will keep them going while they work through the process. Obviously the market likes this news. I'd say this stock is worth the risk at this point.

IMO the name change is a great idea as I read a book about 30 years ago by a man who made a killing in the market. He wrote there could be 2 companies selling the same type of product with the same earnings and the one with the best sounding name to the market will do much better then the other one. I think putting the word "Copper" in could be a big deal in SP as we are getting closer everyday to a real start in copper mining.

Phoenix, Arizona--(Newsfile Corp. - November 12, 2024) - Excelsior Mining Corp. (TSX: MIN) (OTCQB: EXMGF) (FSE: 3XS) is pleased to announce it is completing a corporate name change to "Gunnison Copper Corp." ("Gunnison" or the "Company") with a new stock symbol "GCU" on the TSX.

Effective market open on November 14th, 2024, the Company will begin trading under the new name and stock symbol. The Company's ISIN and CUSIP numbers will change to CA4028801088 and 402880108, respectively.

Excelsior Mining Receives Final Permit Required to Restart the Johnson Camp Mine

Phoenix, Arizona--(Newsfile Corp. - October 21, 2024) - Excelsior Mining Corp. (TSX: MIN) (OTCQB: EXMGF) (FSE: 3XS) ("Excelsior" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has received all permits to commence operations at the Johnson Camp Mine ("JCM") in southeast Arizona, which will produce Made in America copper expected to be used domestically to strengthen American supply chains. Excelsior received the amended Mined Land Reclamation Plan (MLRP) approval from the State of Arizona. The MLRP, along with the recently approved Air Quality Permit (AQP) and the Aquifer Protection Permit (APP), means that all approvals needed to start the production of copper at JCM have been received.

The only thing I can think of is either someone is tired of this stock(I do not blame them) and wants out or the upcoming report on the open pit study is already known to someone. Copper is having a nice move.

Dumping shares at this price level with copper prices at $4.60+/lb? I don't get it. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a bear trap later on.

Looks like more pressure on the stock this morning. Although the monetary amount is small, the share ask is high. I have no idea what is going on.

"IIRC, Excelsior ran into the CO2 issue soon after they started production at Gunnison in 2021. They began testing water flushing to address the CO2 problem, but it was limited by the water resources they were permitted to use, so they stopped large-scale flushing after gathering enough data for the neutralization plant solution. However, they later dropped the neutralization plant plan and focused on well stimulation instead

The selling on the OTC is relentless. I am hoping it is just someone who says they have had enough. I can tell you I am close to enough as well but will wait for a higher price to unload my shares. Sitman, I love playing the spec stocks but it can be very costly. I have to decide which one to keep LWLG,MIN,or TLT.

There is some serious unloading of stock here coinciding with news pending on an open pit plan. Already close to 800k selling off. When it rains, it pours.

ISR mining is relatively new in copper. Many strategic investors don't fully understand how it works, but they are much more familiar with open-pit mining. It's easier for them to evaluate the current value of an open-pit copper mine than an ISR copper mine.

I do not understand this reasoning. I completely agree with you but why do they have to provide a study on open pit when it will never become a reality. Investors looking to provide capital will think this is a waste of time.

AFAIK, ISR is still the official plan for Gunnison. They introduced open-pit mining into the discussion simply to simplify the math for Gunnison and attract new strategic investors. However, implementing open-pit mining at Gunnison would mean that many aspects (permits for example) would need to start from scratch, which would take far too long.

I am hoping for a PR soon that will detail the Gunnison mining and what in-situ vs open pit will be as for time and profits. I believe the open pit will take much longer to get going but the profit potential will be greater. In reality, I am hoping for a takeover ASAP as copper is sorely needed. A huge outfit could come in and move things along at a rapid clip. I do not know the CEO or others in management but I understand a lot of investors are not happy with them.

Dude, I have been buying from $0.90 to $0.12. Most of my position is built above $0.60 per share.

Thanks. Thank the Lord the loss is manageable. It’s been a hard lesson for me, and now I have strict rules to limit the capital I can invest in a single stock. Excelsior still has the potential to become a 10-bagger from the current price, though—I just hope the management doesn’t mess it up.

I am sorry to hear that. I have taken a massive hit in Lightwave after being up big. Read the wrong tea leaves. It does put a lot of stress on you.

I wasn’t as lucky as you with Excelsior :) I jumped in way earlier and my average cost is a lot higher. As I mentioned before, my paper loss with Excelsior is in the millions. I’ve spoken with JJ Jennex (former IR), Mark (former chairman), Stephen (CEO), and Shawn. I like Stephen and Shawn. JJ gave me a lot of misinformation; I can’t tell whether he was lying to me or if he just didn’t have the right info himself at the time. Anyway, my loss, my mistake.

I like Shawn and have quite a few conversations with him. I have never spoken to management though. The only reason I purchased MIN was thru my involvement with NIocorp and some there mentioned their interest in Excelsior. I waited until it was down to around .22 CDN before buying shares and basically bought down to 12 cents. Basically break even here. Niocorp looked great until it didn't and I bailed before and during the merger with a creepy Spac. Thought that was my lotto ticket but as with most speculative companies, they go bust. Niocorp killed their initial wave of retail shareholders thru a r/s and they are treading water at the moment. I also own LWLG and TLT. Great stories but brutal management has killed the share prices.

Yeah, I talk to their IR when I have questions. But what I’ve realized is that the information you get from IR can sometimes be disinformation or misinformation, so I don’t reach out to them that often.

Greenstoe is still on the board. My guess is that Greenstoe isn't as wealthy as we thought, which is why their goal now is to avoid ownership dilution while the share price is extremly low. They’d rather wait if they can’t secure a good deal. Success at JCM would provide them with a solid foundation. Patience is key here; let’s see how things go with JCM in 2025.
