Spirit Finance Corporation (NYSE:SFC), a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on single tenant, operationally essential real estate, announced that it acquired over $241 million in real estate properties during the fourth quarter of 2005, bringing the Company's full year 2005 total real estate acquisitions and mortgage loan originations to $877 million. During the year, Spirit sold 43 properties for $57 million, resulting in the net addition of $820 million to its real estate and loan portfolio. Property sales during the year were strategically completed in conjunction with various portfolio acquisitions to improve returns on retained assets and enhance investment diversity.
