ELT) announced today that, at the invitation of the U.S. Trade and
Development Agency (USTDA), the company participated in a Reverse
Trade Mission with Mexican Smart Grid stakeholders, including
representatives from the Ministry of Energy (SENER), the Federal
Electricity Commission (CFE), an Elster customer, and the Energy
Regulatory Commission (CRE).

an overview of the company, highlighting Elster's history of

The USTDA sponsored the Reverse Trade Mission to familiarize
Mexican regulatory and power utility company representatives with
the U.S. Smart Grid regulatory environment and advanced U.S. Smart
Grid technologies and equipment to support the implementation of
Smart Grid projects in Mexico. The
schedule included meetings with U.S. companies, U.S. government
agencies and trade associations, as well as site visits to electric
utilities.
Earlier this year, USTDA awarded a $405,000 grant to CRE to
support the development of a regulatory framework for Smart Grid
implementation in Mexico.
