Viper Energy Partners LP owns, acquires and exploits oil and natural gas properties in North America. The Company is focused on oil and natural gas properties in the Permian Basin and the Eagle Ford Shale. Its assets consist of mineral interests underlying approximately 814,224 gross acres and approximately 24,304 net royalty acres in the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford Shale. There are approximately 2,026 vertical wells and 3,781 horizontal wells producing on this acreage. The estimated proved oil and natural gas reserves of the Company’s assets is approximately 88,946 thousand barrels of crude oil equivalent (MBOE). Its operators own a working interest in approximately 5,807 productive wells located on the acreage in which it has a mineral interest. The Company’s proved developed reserves totals approximately 40,857 thousand barrels (MBbls) of oil, 80,737 million cubic feet (MMcf) of natural gas and 14,994 MBbls of natural gas liquids, for a total of 69,307 MBOE.

In an analyst rating update on Monday shares of Diamondback Energy (NASDAQ:FANG) had their rating indicated by analysts at Williams Capital.

The broker said it has now set a ‘Hold’ rating on shares of Diamondback Energy with a price target of 105. The price target according to the broker shows a possible increase of 9% from the current stock price of 96.33.

UPLMQ also on my radar in natural gas plays. They just reported a positive EPS in their last Q a couple of weeks ago, so who knows, $10 or $20 isn't impossible short-term.

position i mean an investor or institution is actively involved with a controlling interest and is pushing for a change and trying to realize the full value
creation for Viper energy, Diamondback energy owns 82.5% of VNOM.
FANG right now is doing exceptionally well. let's hope VNOM follows through, lot going on in Nat Gas lately. trade well and cautiously.

By the way, another oil company, SDOCQ, ran about 150% today. I was long from under the penny mark. High volume, worth watching for a possible continuation next week.

What do you mean by an activist position?

Agreed about the insider ownership. There was some crazy big insider buys last month maybe around the $16 mark or so. I think it was in the millions of dollars. That's a pretty reliable buy indicator as far as buy indicators go.

according to finviz.com, insiders own 84% of the OS stock, what do they know? and i believe there is an activist position in the company also,
which is why i picked it up in the first place, not sure now.

60 minute chart looks promising, break above the upper trend line and
it may be clear skies ahead. more later

Yeah, sucks for my options expiring Friday. Fortunately I have September calls too. As you say, today was low volume so I'm not worrying long-term.

they really knocked down VNOM on skimppy volume today, at one point

I seen the spread was over .50cents i believe or more for quite some time, maybe even as high as 70 cents. thin float i assume.
