That's pretty significant. It was a no-brainer after they bought Emflaza. The market reaction was irrationally negative. I didn't think PTCT would move this quickly back up, but I'm glad I got back in when I did.

Marathon getting $89k for DMD drug. Administration pushing for lower drug prices, so competition in this space would be good in that respect. PTC will be pushing the FDA on this.
Dip seems good for investors. I don't see this as bad news for PTC. Just the opposite. I realize the patients who potentially benefit from Marathon's drug and Ataluren drug are initially different. Interesting that SRPT was up on the news.

PTC Therapeutics announces its JV w/ Roche (RHHBY) and the SMA Foundation initiated a clinical study (FIREFISH) in infants with Type I SMA

FIREFISH is a two-part study.
•Part one is an open-label, dose escalation study in at least 8 infants for a minimum of 4 weeks. ?The primary objective of part one is to assess the safety profile of RG7916 in infants and determine the dose for part two.

•Part two is an open-label, single-arm study in !40 infants with Type I SMA for 24 months, followed by an open-label extension. ?The primary objective of part two is to assess the efficacy of RG7916 at the selected dose over a 12-month treatment period.

•A trial in childhood onset (Type II/III) SMA patients, SUNFISH, is currently enrolling the dose escalation portion of the study.
•Commencement of the pivotal portion of either study will trigger a $20 mln milestone payment to co from Roche (RHHBY).

This was announced a while back, but PTC announced the initiation of the study today. This started in 2006, so hopefully things can move along to help the kids who are affected.

Yeah 2nd short here it's easier to see the short opportunities than it is the bounces. Everyone can make $$ on both sides of the coin here.

PTCT was a cash cow from pre market from $9.80 to over $11.00 missed that second dip because I was gone but sold all my shares at $11.10. GL

Approvals somewhere. Earnings were decent and they are moving forward, although the language in the portion about EMA wasn't exactly confidence inspiring, at least they are not blowing smoke. Guidance was conservative as well.

Up over 2% on a down day. Anyone bullish here?

They'll do a 2nd level appeal to FDA like SRPT but not much hope. Plus they got bad news in Europe as well.

You can't short PTCT because it's on the 'no short' stock list so hopes of any type of short squeeze is out and it looks like all the institution holders are still unloading.

Just sold my $9 PUTS here @ $6.95 for 5x bagger but could be going back to $5s soon.

So is there any hope for PTCT going forward? Would love to swing trade this again hopefully from the 5's

My only regret is that after first reading your post, I only bought a very small position for tracking purpose only...Today when I opened my account and saw SMMT double, my first reaction was that Ameritrade must be having a system glitch. Wish I had done some due diligence after taking a tracking position...

On PTCT, I expect the stock to resume its upward move. When it prints $17.01, it will be ready to close the yawning $10 gap above. So I am looking for a $14 move, a double from here(!), by the end of the year. First stop: $17.01
