Hill International (Nasdaq:HINT), the worldwide construction consulting firm, announced today that its contract with the Government of Dubai๏ฟฝs Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) has been extended to provide claims and contract advisory services in connection with all DCA projects at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and the new Dubai World Central International Airport (JXB) located in the Jebel Ali region of Dubai. The extended contract, which is scheduled to continue throughout the DXB and JXB expansion programs, has an estimated value to Hill of approximately AED 40 million ($10.9 million) over the next three years. Hill commenced its role with DCA in March 2005 providing claims management services with respect to the DXB Concourse 2 / Terminal 3 project. In line with DCA๏ฟฝs expanding project portfolio, Hill๏ฟฝs role has likewise been expanded to include all other DXB Phase II expansion projects and the new Dubai World Central International Airport (JXB) which is planned to be one of the largest capacity airports in the world. Dubai World Central International Airport (JXB) will be at the heart of Dubai World Central, an aviation focused residential, commercial and logistics program planned by the Government of Dubai. The airport will be the world๏ฟฝs largest passenger and cargo hub with a designed capacity of over 12 million tons of cargo a year and in excess of 120 million passengers annually and capable of handling all new generation aircraft, including the A380 superjumbo. This new facility will have six parallel runways, a 92-meter high control tower (the highest in the Middle East), three terminals and will be ten times the size of the current Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai Cargo Village combined. ๏ฟฝDCA is a very important client to Hill International and we are honored that they have extended Hill๏ฟฝs services to include these world-class projects,๏ฟฝ said Bill Kennedy, Vice President and Executive Director in charge of Hill๏ฟฝs construction claims operations in Dubai. Hill International, with 1,500 employees in 70 offices worldwide, provides program management, project management, construction management, and construction claims services.
