ActuateOne’s one design, one server and one user experience combined with BIRT Mobile’s native support for multiple mobility architectures make Actuate the only vendor to seamlessly deliver content via mobile browsers, native applications, custom applications and an SDK integrated with the Apple iOS framework - providing developers with full flexibility to include BIRT content in their mobile applications and ensuring a unified user experience from the office to the mobile device.

BIRT Mobile’s native support simplifies development of mobile BI applications for rapid deployment and a seamless user experience. BIRT Mobile includes BIRT Mobile Viewer and HD Viewer for iPad™, true native applications used with BIRT iServer or with BIRT onDemand, Actuate’s Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering. BIRT onDemand instantly delivers personalized BIRT content to mobile users with one click, significantly increasing productivity for IT departments, developers and users.

Native Application Access: Actuate offers two viewers offering native access - BIRT Mobile, which supports Apple iPad, iPhone™, iPod Touch™ and Blackberry devices and BIRT Mobile HD, a premium application that includes iPad-specific features such as annotation and email. These viewers embrace the native capabilities of specific devices, including the ability to drill down into content, orientation awareness, touch navigation, email and phone dialing.

3. Custom Application Access: BIRT developers can use BIRT iServer or BIRT onDemand to instantly “mobilize” their custom applications. BIRT content need not be duplicated for mobile deployment.

4. SDK Integrated with Apple iOS framework: The BIRT Mobile SDK integrates natively with the Apple iOS framework, allowing BIRT content to be easily included in applications for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch with speed and ease. The SDK also allows iOS developers to work with BIRT content via a cohesive set of Objective-C objects, greatly shortening the time required to embed BIRT into any mobile application.
