I found the link below which may help those of you not familiar with the music industry to better understand the complexities of revenue recognition in the music industry and hence why SONG may be consistently overstating their revenues through early adoption of an accruals basis of revenue recognition instead of continuing to use a cash basis of accounting which is often used by music startups for many years before they have the necessary proven systems and proven processes and proven management to accruarky measure and accurately forecast the future collectability of accrued revenues which is never easy even for experienced music executives running established businesses
