"Digital asset researcher Coin Metrics predicts crypto exchange Coinbase will report approximately $2 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2024.

If correct, this will mark an increase of 109% year-over-year and 65% quarter-over-quarter for Coinbase, Coin Metrics said in a Feb. 11 report. Coinbase’s Q4 2024 earnings report is scheduled for Feb. 13.

The report said Coinbase’s trading volumes hit roughly $430 billion in Q4 2024, the highest since 2021. The rise was “fueled by renewed market optimism post-U.S. election,” it said."

SEC ordered to revisit Coinbase petition for rulemaking

A federal appellate court on Monday ordered the Securities and Exchange Commission to revisit its decision not to write new rules for when digital assets fall under its authority.

Why it matters: The The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals firmly rebuked the agency, calling its decision to deny a petition by Coinbase, the largest digital asset company in the U.S., "insufficiently reasoned, and thus arbitrary and capricious."

What's next: The court's three-judge panel declined to order the SEC to write a rule, as Coinbase requested, but instead ordered it to come back with "a sufficiently reasoned disposition of Coinbase's petition."

For the record, I have had a coinbase account since 2017. I have worked with their customer support multiple times and resolved my issues. I have moved money both in and out of my coinbase account with no issues. I agree the customer support is VERY limiting but it does work if you open a ticket. I have never gone to their "X" account and don't plan to.

I also have multiple other accounts on other exchanges and believe it or not, I like coinbase the best.

Coinbase headquarters will soon be raided by FBI. The scam is at it's end. I proved they never answer or support and the account on X is fraudulent. No legitimate company only uses X for customer support. This is the biggest red flag ever. Beware.

I bought gold at $267 per ounce in 1 oz. gold eagles and silver at $7.50. I was also buying 1/10 oz. gold eagles for $29 a piece LOL. This train does not stop. Look back in history for the last 6,000 years. It's going 5 digits and up as time goes on. Soon a house can be bought with a couple ounces of gold. You should sell all of yours so it does not bother you anymore.

Buy the company not the stock...

WARNING. For the past several days I have tried to open a coinbase account. Never could get past "add a payment method". Tried to add paypal, spoke to a real living person at paypal and nothing was wrong on their end. Coinbase would never allow me to advance and finish my account. Then I find out people have had their money stolen by coinbase. Not to mention there is NO WAY to contact anyone living that is alive and breathing in customer support. Website sends you in circles. Worst company I ever tried dealing with. No phone number, email or anything. Just a "virtual" AI bot chat that does nothing. So now I closed my account and moved on. Total SCAM company that will shut down, close up and run away with $billions soon once they power off their server farm which is in the making. Good luck. Glad I found out before I funded this fraud. Whew !
