                          Suspension of Trading on ASX

Carpathian Resources Limited (ASX: CPN; AIM: CPNR) ("the Company") announces
that trading of its shares has been suspended on the Australian Stock Exchange
("ASX"), as a result of the Company's failure to lodge its Annual Report by
Tuesday 30 September 2008 as required by the ASX Listing Rules and the
Corporations Act 2001. The Company is working with its auditors to enable the
audit to be completed as soon as is practicable to enable the suspension on the
trading of its shares to be lifted.
