Bema's Extraordinary General Meeting

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 30, 2007) - Bema Gold Corporation
(TSX:BGO)(NYSE:BGO)(AIM:BAU) will host a conference call/webcast of the Extraordinary General
Meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 30th at 2:00pm PT / 5:00pm ET.

At the Meeting, shareholders will vote on the proposed business combination between Bema and
Kinross Gold Corporation which was announced on November 6, 2006. This will be followed by a
