Issue of Options and Directors Interests in Allied Gold

Allied Gold advises that the following options were issued today for Mr Terence Sean Harvey, a Director of Allied Gold Limited, pursuant to share holder approval obtained at the recent shareholder meeting held on 6 June 2011.

1,500,000 Unlisted Options exercisable at $0.50 on or before 31 December 2011 with the following vesting conditions:

-- 1,000,000 vesting immediately

-- 500,000 vesting upon when the Company's share price is greater than $0.70 for 5 consecutive days.

Mr Terence Sean Harvey's security holdings in the Company are now as follows:

o 200,000 Fully Paid Ordinary shares representing 0.017 % of the total share capital of the Company.

o 1,500,000Unlisted Options exercisable at $0.50 on or before 31 December 2011 with the following vesting conditions:

-- 1,000,000 vesting immediately

-- 500,000 vesting upon when the Company's share price is greater than $0.70 for 5 consecutive days.
