HYWS Hollywood Studios International (CE)

It was announced today that veteran film producer Paul Schiff is joining forces with Hollywood Studios International (OTCBB: HYWS), a media holding company headed by Chairman & CEO Steven Saxton, in a comprehensive deal that includes bringing in material and projects through his Paul Schiff Productions and coming aboard Hollywood Studios International projects already in the pipeline.

The first project coming to Hollywood Studios International through Schiff is the heist film "Masterwork," which Jon Amiel ("Entrapment," "Copycat") is directing from a screenplay by Marc Gottleib ("Joust"). Schiff and Tai Duncan are producers along with Saxton.

Less than a year old, Hollywood Studios International has already made a sizeable footprint in the independent landscape having executive produced, as its debut film project, the breakout hit "The Kids Are All Right," one of the most critically acclaimed films of the year and winner the 2011 Golden Globe® for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy as well as Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy (Annette Bening). Recently nominated for four Oscars®, including Best Picture, the film was produced in association with Artist International (a Hollywood Studios International company) and executive produced by Steven Saxton.

Schiff has made a name for himself as one of Hollywood's most accomplished producers, responsible for over 28 films that have achieved both critical and commercial success throughout his career. Some of the films produced by Schiff include "Rushmore," "Maid in Manhattan," "Solitary Man," "Mona Lisa Smile," "My Cousin Vinny," "Walking Tall," "The Vanishing" and "Young Guns I & II," to name a few.

In this newly created role, Schiff will work closely with HSI Films President Eric Christenson as well as the Artist International team led by Joel Newton and Dave Brown. Joining Schiff at Hollywood Studios International is Tai Duncan, Senior Vice President of Production at Paul Schiff Productions.

In "Masterwork," an art thief plans his perfect heist -- his own masterwork -- in the newest and most secure museum in the world, the new Louvre Abu Dhabi. The spurned woman who knows him better than anybody and the Interpol agent who has made it his life's work to catch him, launch their own plan to bring him down, while preventing the theft of the most famous painting in the world: the Mona Lisa.
