Mike Kelly was the George Bailey of the southside of Chicago and loss about $ 1 bn of regulatory capital when Hank did not stand by the JPS - this led to the collapse of Kelly's community banking conglomerate. Kelly is on thin ice and will probably lose this case which is the final appeal unless SCOTUS wants to weigh in or if the USG wants to settle. It does not impact any other shareholder other than Kelly but it does highlight the dishonesty and the capricious regulatory actions by the USG which wiped out Mike Kelly - a community minded good intentioned community banker.

Interesting to note is that the Acting Attorney General was recently appointed by DJT, a Federalist Society Member and clerked for Edith Jones at the 5th Circuit.

Best case for us is that the USG settles with Kelly and highlights the bad actions by Hank and the gang. I would love to see SInzdak retire or get canned - he keeps misstating the facts and the fairness issues in all the Hearings. It is criminal what Congress has done to the GSEs.
