General John F. Michitsch (Retired) Joins AAI Corporation HUNT VALLEY, Md., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- AAI Corporation today announced the appointment of Major General U.S. Army John F. Michitsch (Ret.) as executive vice president. Gen. Michitsch will report to Frederick M. Strader, AAI president and chief executive officer. Gen. Michitsch has been vice president for Ground, Air and Unattended Systems in the Electronic Systems Sector of Northrop Grumman Corporation. He was responsible for research, development and sustainment of various defense weapon systems, including payloads for unmanned vehicles. Before joining Northrop Grumman, Gen. Michitsch retired from the U.S. Army after 35 years service. He was involved in the development, production, and fielding of major weapon systems, including the M1A2 Abrams Tank and Bradley Fighting Vehicle System. He also served as Commander of the U.S. Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command. In addition, Gen. Michitsch spearheaded the Army's fielding the 4th Infantry Division as the first fully digitized division and promoted significant acquisition reform to reduce development time and total life cycle systems' cost.
