Salomon Brothers Emerging Markets Floating Rate Fund Inc., which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "EFL," announced today a name change to Western Asset Emerging Markets Floating Rate Fund Inc. effective with the opening of trading on Monday, October 9, 2006. The Fund will continue to trade under its existing New York Stock Exchange symbol "EFL." The CUSIP number for Western Asset Emerging Markets Floating Rate Fund Inc. will be as follows: -- Common Stock: 95766C107 The renaming of Salomon Brothers Emerging Markets Floating Rate Fund Inc. follows Legg Mason's acquisition of substantially all of Citigroup's asset management business in December 2005.
