Well apparently you bought this one long before I did. I've held my shares and it has done very well. Contemplated dumping back in March but just hung on as I think the industry is one of the stronger ones.
Since you're from the future, shouldn't all this be history to you?
Didn't know you went through a divorce, I'm sure it wasn't fun. Didn't even know you could find someone to marry you with all your quirks!
As to short term gains, in the past a lot of mine have been in my Roth IRA and other IRA accounts. Although I always donate a decent amount to charities so have had write offs in the past. Those are gone and short term gains were brutal on me last year.

Been looking long and hard for an excuse to get out.

I did miss the last pullback because I was a little panicked and haven't been in the buying mood for the last couple years due to my divorce and the ex not really understanding how many accounts I had. No looky no touchy.

Now I'm doing a little house cleaning after the Covid blow and I'm convinced that I'm either smart or lucky and this still has a long way to go.

I've never sold a share of this one since 2012 and even before that it was only a few. I've reinvested the dividend for the entire time and picked up shares that I thought were cheap.

Looking back after 10 or so years I'm only up about 278%.

Wasn't the 10 bagger this 39 year old hoped for but the 50 year old cleaning the closet is saying 'hell yeah'!

I wish I wouldn't have wasted so much time on penny stocks. I could have pumped my lump into stuff like this that saved me the stress and weren't under the ex's eyes. Along with the IRS, Jesus I don't know how you guys do it knocking off short term gains all year long.

I almost cried writing some of those checks.

I know you're a chart guy so I'll spare you the AMT fundamentals but suffice it to say, they look good for the foreseeable future.

At least to me they do.

I'd put a tower in my backyard if they let me.

I say they should retire some more shares and raise our divided so hopefully I can live off of just that and SBC when I'm ready to hang up my boots 10 or so years from now.
