I'll tell you a reality.
I talk with a lot of people about stocks and investing over breakfast. Not a one of them is selling and they all are saying what you are.
In my history of investing, in a correction market, the market keeps falling until those people say, "That's it! I'm moving to cash!"
Wall Street corrects until there is "Blood in the streets". Too many people have forgotten the history of the market and are currently convinced the value of the market 3 months ago is the true value. It isn't. People look at their highest account value, then think anything less is a loss.
I invest leaning toward pessimism. I sold off a lot of my profits in Dec/Jan. The S&P 500 is now below support and I think it easily falls another 700 pts.
The DOW has broken down and NASDAQ also. I have to keep reminding myself of the most important adage...
"Don't confuse genius with a Bull Market"

the S and P. What we have seen lately is nothing new.

Market sentiment should turn soon, imo, and lift more boats such as this one.

16 times the S&P 500 had a correction, but didn't move into a bear market (since 1980).

Those years finished up 9.5% on average. Since 1950 the S&P 500 is up 9.5% on average. Hmm.

It's not going anywhere if it can't break through resistance currently at $45.68. Right now we are in a channel that can go either way.
Fundamentals look good, but in a new industry anything can happen. Whoever heard of NVDA 3 years ago? A new competitor can sprout here easily enough.
I'm betting SMCI goes up from here, but honestly, right now its a crapshoot.

And the market reversed on the soft report. It reversed again today, but there are some signs the Mac is turning up slightly and there are signals it’s oversold.

Of course it’s been priced for perfection for some time now.

The brakes got stomped on at $44.99. Pretty good day anyway. It’s nice to see interest return. I get it that some people are Leary due to the bad press and the short attack but this stock has $100 written in ink by the end of the year.

Cooling inflation report will help financial markets. https://www.bls.gov/cpi/ With SMCI's valuation low relative to current and expected earnings, we might just be at that lift off point all longs have been waiting for! With this, even a chance of additional interest rate cuts later. Resolution (and especially toning down of rhetoric/public statements) regarding tariffs would help also 😊Same would be true for the Russia-Ukraine war, resolving geopolitical conflict would be a positive. Of course, we have to acknowledge it could all go sideways too!

Never mind me, this is all entertainment to me.

I keep telling those to my kids, not exactly as you say it but, I just tell them, no one wants to hear my opinion, it wouldn't matter anyways.

Who knows what the report will be, either way, good luck to you. If I were you, I would short the living crap out of it, everything you got. The cycle has returned, I hope I am wrong, but it is definitely not an overreaction.

A good day with a strong close. Nice.
Back when this ran to $50s and then they dropped it all the way to low $40s I noticed how the options I had were suddenly selling for less than they were just the day before when the stock was around the same price. I think you or someone else mentioned how”they” repriced the options. How is that done? I saw this happen on some Apple options just recently.

Recognizing fung's earlier point about testing $33, could happen, if a total market collapse similar to spring 2020 occurs and continues for 6+ months. Waiting for the bottom, at this rate, I hope it doesn't fall into the teens by August. Back in 2006, I saw Apple drop from the high 70 dollars to the 5 dollars and change in mere 6 months time frame and that was Apple. I hope the current situation doesn't get any worse than the financial crisis of the mid 2000's. Japan is asking Trump for exemption from Tarrifs and if he proceeds, all heck is going to break loose.

Yes, I have heard about the bees, for the last 20 plus years, nothing new and that could happen. I was at Vons not too long ago, after I shopped I went to get in my car and even took a video and posted it to my son, kid you not, I saw probably over 100,000 bees or more swarming in one area of the parking lot, I had a eerie feeling something is was not right and still feel that way. Scary times for sure.
