ScanSource Communications Names Brian Cuppett Vice President of Sales

ScanSource Communications, a leading value-added distributor of
communications products and a sales unit of ScanSource Inc.,
(Nasdaq: SCSC), has named Brian Cuppett as its new vice president
of sales. He formerly served as director of business development
for the company.
Cuppett brings more than 13 years of experience in distribution
to this position, having joined CTI Authority in 1997 as a sales
engineer. CTI Authority was purchased by ScanSource in 1998. In
2001, Cuppett began the field Business Development team for what
would become ScanSource Communications and served as BD manager. In
2008, he was named director of business development. Prior to
joining the distribution industry, Cuppett was a partner in a
software company that focused on the higher education vertical. He
also served as a cost accountant for a freight car manufacturer,
where he was responsible for cash flow management and managing
receivables.
As vice president of sales, Cuppett will manage the strategic
growth and development of the company’s sales and business
development efforts, including cultivating and strengthening
customer relationships and working closely with reseller partners
to assist them in growing their business. Cuppett will also work
with the company’s vendor field partners to pursue growth
opportunities and ensure the continued growth and development of
the reseller channel. He will report to ScanSource Communications
president, Buck Baker.

Cuppett received a BS in Accounting/Business Administration from
Methodist University and his MBA from Indiana University of
Pennsylvania. He is married with two children.
