Dow Tanks as Powell Sends Shockwaves. This Is No Time To Panic.; Wednesday, December 18, 2024, 7:24 PM ET By Daren Fonda So much for a Santa rally. The Fed sent shock waves through markets on Wednesday with a sobering outlook for rates and inflation in 2025. While we may be at the start of the correction, this is no time to panic. Stocks and bonds tanked after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell delivered a message nobody wanted to hear: Inflation is moving sideways and investors should only expect two more quarter-point cuts in 2025, a letdown from previous forecasts for deeper cuts and more progress on inflation. The latest rate cut reduced the federal-funds rate to a range between 4.25% and 4.5%. And Fed officials were far more hawkish with four not wanting to cut, a relatively large dissent. The S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, and Nasdaq Composite fell as the hawkish tone settled in and Powell delivered his message. The S&P 500’s 3% decline was its worst on a Fed decision day in nearly 15 years, going back to January 2009. The Dow notched a 2.6% decline, its tenth losing day in a row. The Nasdaq shed 3.6%, its worst Fed-day showing since March 2020. Even harder hit were rate-sensitive small-caps: The Russell 2000 fell 4.4%. And volatility spiked. The VIX volatility index, known as the “fear gauge,” closed at $27.62, up $11.75 or 74%, the worst single-day percentage increase since February 2018, according to Dow Jones Market Data. Nor were bonds spared with the 10-year Treasury yield spiking to 4.5% (bond yields and prices move inversely). The 10-year Treasury yield is now up six of the past eight trading days and has gained 0.87 percentage point from its 52-week low of 3.62% in September. Powell’s message wasn’t all that shocking, but markets were sitting on a ledge, and it didn’t take much to push them off. Or, to use another analogy, “the rubber band snapped today,” said BTIG technical analyst Jonathan Krinsky in a note. Krinsky observes that the market’s technicals were already “washed out” with 13 straight days of declining shares beating advancers, and just 8% of S&P 500 components above their 20-day moving average. Moreover, just 53% of stocks are now trading above their 200-day moving average, a “concerning” year-to-date low, notes Adam Turnquist, chief technical strategist for LPL Financial. High-momentum stocks were poised to collapse, and they did; the high-momentum factor had its worst day since May 2022, falling nearly 6%, Krinsky notes. Investors should brace for more declines as the market keeps flushing out excesses. “Today’s pausing tantrum in financial markets following the hawkish rate cut is probably the start of the correction we’ve been expecting,” strategist Ed Yardeni said in a note. At the same time, investors are being a bit discerning. While Tesla wasn’t spared, falling 8.3%, Nvidia held up relatively well with a 1.1% decline, reflecting the fact that it had already come down quite a bit in recent days. UnitedHealth, meanwhile, was the only Dow component to notch a gain, rising 2.9%, and other health insurers rose, including Cigna, Centene, and CVS Health. The sector has fallen since the murder of a UnitedHealth executive. Investors appear to have concluded it was beaten up enough. There are still plenty of reasons to expect the markets to absorb the Fed’s more dour outlook and deal with it. For one, Powell reiterated that the economy remains healthy. Inflation moving in a 2%-3% band isn’t nearly as bad as inflation spiking—the culprit for the 2022 market selloff. And there are no signs, yet, that corporate profits are going to start falling. It’s also worth noting that we are still far from a correction—a decline of at least 10%. The S&P 500 at 5,872 is off just 3.6% from its record close is 6,090 on December 6. When technicals deteriorate, as they have recently, it can take a while for them to be restored. Krinsky says he can’t rule out further downside and expects a “deeper more sustained drawdown” in early 2025. Yet there’s still plenty of support for corporate profits, along with hopes that President-elect Donald Trump’s deregulatory agenda and tax cuts will provide some stimulus to the economy and keep profits afloat (assuming tariffs don’t derail the economy and cause inflation to spike back up). Yardeni, who has been bullish for some time, isn’t changing his tune. “The correction could last through January on concerns about a government shutdown, longshoremen’s strike, tariffs on day one of Trump 2.0, and delayed tax-related profit-taking,” he wrote. “Yet we are still aiming for 7000 on the S&P 500 by the end of next year.” 5 days prior to rate announcement Rate Announcement Day and..... Yep exactly. We are in a Bitcoin war right now. They are going to do whatever it takes to keep the price at this level until black Rock gets what it wants. Also other countries want it. I said this would happen several years ago.

Whether indices, stocks or Bitcoin 21:20#621In this text, which is very often published on the Internet and in forums, it is easy to see a scheme by which a wealthy individual or group of traders can manipulate stocks and even the entire index completely legally. Anyone who followed a large number of stocks on the American stock exchanges could easily see that someone with a lot of money was manipulating the stock prices, which rose unimaginably high for no reason. Diagrams show very clearly that this process has been repeated for 2,000 years, because even then stock prices rose by 10 percent or more every day. This was a sign that someone was manipulating the stock price in their favor and a crash was imminent, which is what happened. Then an entire segment, NEMAX, went bankrupt in Germany. In this text it is easy to see how manipulators manipulate the mass of investors. WORTH READING: In every profession there are a dozen or more important rules. Knowing them is what separates the amateur from the professional. Not knowing them? Let me put it this way: how safe would you feel if you suddenly found yourself flying a Boeing 747 alone as it landed on the runway? Unless you are a professional pilot, you would be scared to death and would shit your pants. Keep that in mind as you read this article. ... because I am going to explain to you how market manipulation works! To speculate successfully, you should assume one thing: the small cap markets exist primarily to fleece you I am talking about markets like Vancouver, Alberta, the OTC (Pinksheets, OTC BB, etc.). You can also extend this to other markets like Toronto, New York, Nasdaq, London.... The average investor will not have much success gambling on small caps. For these markets to continue, new losers must enter the market. The assumption that such crazy activity can only be short-lived is incorrect. I propose a different solution. What the professionals and banking regulators know and understand, but the rest of us do not, is this: Rule #1 all violent price movements - up or down - are the result of one or more (usually a group) of professionals manipulating the price. This is supposed to explain why a mining company finds something good and nothing happens. At the same time, without any obvious reason, a stock suddenly races up on low volume. Someone is manipulating the stock, often with an unsubstantiated rumor. For these manipulations to work, the professionals assume that {A} people are stupid and {B} people buy primarily when the price of the stock is high and {C} sell when the price is low. Therefore, the market manipulator can be successful as long as he controls the volume. Let's be clear: The reason you speculate in these markets is because you are greedy and optimistic. You believe tomorrow will be better and you need to make money fast. It is this attitude that the market manipulator exploits. He grabs you by your greed and fear for a particular stock! When he wants you to buy, the future of the stock looks like the next Microsoft. As soon as the manipulator wants you to get off the sinking ship, he suddenly becomes very cautious about his comments about the company. This brings us to the next rule: Rule #2 As soon as the market manipulator wants to sell his stock, he will launch a good news promotional campaign. Have you ever wondered why a certain company is portrayed as if it is the greatest thing since the invention of sliced ??bread? This sentiment is deliberately created. Newsletter writers are hired - secretly or not - to hype up a certain stock. Public relations firms are hired and let loose on unsuspecting audiences. Contracts to appear on radio talk shows are signed and executed. An advertising campaign begins (TV commercials, newspaper ads, flyers). The banks get cheap stock to recommend the company in their letters to clients. The company appears at investment conferences to tell you how really different their company is. Strange little enthusiastic threads appear on the boards, always from the same kind of pusher, the more the merrier. The HYPE begins. The smarter a stock promoter is, the better his knowledge of the advertising industry. Little tricks are used, e.g. making a totally unknown company look interesting by comparing it to a recent success story. This is the position sermon see Ries and Trout. The only reason you are invited to this seemingly incredible banquet is because you are the main course!

Hayes forecasted a “harrowing dump” around Trump’s inauguration day before crypto enters a “crack-up-boom phase” later in 2025. Hayes’ Maelstrom plans to sell in advance As Hayes expects the markets to experience a sharp drop around Trump’s inauguration in January, Maelstrom — an investment fund managed by Hayes’ family office — will clear some positions, expecting to buy at lower prices. “Maelstrom will be lightening up on certain positions in advance, hoping to rebuy some core positions at lower prices sometime in the first half of 2025,” Hayes said. 🤩🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑💵💸💰🪙💎🙌 Pump !.....Pump !.......Pump my moon bag !

Newsletter writers are hired - secretly or not - to hype up a certain stock. Public relations firms are hired and let loose on an unsuspecting audience. Contracts to appear on radio talk shows are signed and executed. An advertising campaign begins (TV commercials, newspaper ads, direct mail). The banks get cheap stock to recommend the company in their letters to clients. The company appears at investment conferences to tell you how really different their company is. Strange little enthusiastic threads appear on the boards, always from the same kind of pusher, the more the merrier. The HYPE begins. Little tricks are used, e.g. making a totally unknown company look interesting by comparing it to a recent success story. This is the position sermon see Ries and Trout. The only reason you are invited to this seemingly incredible banquet is because you are the main course! After the market manipulator has sucked you into his investment by trading his securities for your money, the walls close in around you. Why is this? Rule #3 As soon as the manipulator sells his stock, he will launch a campaign of bad or no news. Your favorite stock stagnates or goes down a bit from its high. Suddenly there is a vacuum of news, either no news at all or bad rumors... No more "sorry, he's out of the office" or "he won't be back until Monday" news. The really slick market manipulators will even feed the boards and journalists with negative stories about the company. Or start a propaganda campaign with negative rumors at all levels of communication, even hire someone to drive down the price. Even hire someone to attack the analyst who had previously written enthusiastically about the stock (this is not a game for the faint of heart!). You see the stock drifting endlessly, you may even develop a feeling of helplessness, as if you are floating in space without a lifeline. This is exactly what the manipulator wants (see rule #5). Perhaps he does this to avoid the deep disappointment of a failed deal. Often you hear the refrain "oh, these are the young companies... very risky..." or "9 out of 10 companies go bankrupt every year and this is a venture capital exchange for young companies". Don't think that this was not planned! ...

Let those numbers sink in for a moment. This is beyond digital Gold.
