Semcon (STO:SEMC) has received its single largest order in Design & Development. The order is from Volvo Car Corporation and concerns project management and engineering design for a new car project. "A recurrent trend among our customers is to place all or parts of all major development assignments with sub-suppliers and partners," says Stefan Ohlsson, Vice president Semcon Automotive R&D. "We have strategically developed our tools and methodology to be able to take on ever larger projects. Through our long cooperation with Volvo Car Corporation, we have also built up specialist competence which is well-suited for this kind of development project." Parts of the project will be carried out at Semcon's development office in Hungary. Semcon is 1,700 inquisitive and enthusiastic people with a passion for creating smart and efficient IT solutions and user-friendly technical information, and designing, engineering, developing and adapting product ideas in to sales successes. Today Semcon is active in Sweden, Australia, China, Denmark, Hungary, Malaysia, Norway and the UK and via partners in Belgium, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
